Squeezable - Milestone session Columbus Ohio Photographer

I have to say, sitter sessions can be the best ever. Generally, the baby is happy, can't quite crawl away, and is just completely squeezable! That was no exception at Ben's 8 month session. Just look at this Gerber baby. I could have kept him in the studio all day. I can't wait for your next session. He's going to be 1 and we're going to head outdoors for some family photos and a cake smash. Below are a few of my favorites from his session. I just love the simple baby shots!

If you haven't scheduled your milestone session don't wait!

The Gerber Baby is back! Columbus, Ohio baby photographer

Some of you may remember the post about the little guy who I refer to as the Gerber baby a few months back. Well I had the pleasure of taking his 9 month photos a few weeks ago and ooh my goodness, he is just more adorable than ever! We decided to take it outside and went to Inniswood Metro Gardens in Westerville which is one of my favorite locations. And he was just amazing to photograph again. My cheeks literally were hurting from smiling as I was shooting this sweet little man. I can't wait to see him again in a few months for his big 1 year shoot!

Daddy's Girl - Columbus, Ohio Baby Photographer

More than a year ago I had the pleasure of meeting a beautiful couple who were expecting a baby girl. They were inquiring about maternity and newborn portraits. Unfortunately, they had experienced the death of a newborn several years prior to this pregnancy and I could see just how important these images were to them. I was honored they chose me to capture these moments, as well as even more anxious than usual to capture the best photos.

Both sessions were wonderful and working with this amazing family was truly an experience I will always remember. So when it was time to take their precious baby girl's 1 year portraits I was so excited. Her birthday happens to be on Father's Day, so her mama decided to gift daddy with a special shoot with his little angel. So we headed to a local park for her special Daddy and Me shoot and then back to the studio for her to smash her cake. Mama had a very specific color scheme in mind for the cake smash and she even made the outfit for the cake smash! As usual our session was perfect and I had the most amazing time with this family. Here are just a few of my favorites!

Sisterly Love - Baby Photographer Columbus, Ohio

Sometimes when a client calls to schedule a 1 year cake smash session I just can't believe how fast the year went. I remembered this little girl's newborn session so vividly and was just so tickled to see her when she came in with her big sister to celebrate her first birthday. The birthday girl needed a little warming up, and having her big sister there to make her comfortable definitely helped. Ooh they were just simply adorable! While we did capture many of the two of them together we made sure that this little doll got to smash her cake all by herself. But don't worry, big sissy definitely got a few bites!

Here are a few of my favorites.

Awake and Adorable - Columbus ohio newborn photography

This sweet little boy came in wide awake.  We tried everything to get him to sleep, but he wasn't having it. Honestly, I didn't mind at all because he was simply adorable and would just look right up at me with those big eyes. He did seem to snooze off a few times, but he actually was asleep with his eyes open too! While it's easier to pose newborns when they're asleep, I do have to admit, it is always nice to get a few of them awake. In this case, we got a few with him asleep, or blinking haha!

And how appropriate to get ready for this holiday weekend than to honor this little boy's daddy who serves in our military. Wishing everyone a safe and happy Memorial Day weekend.

Out of the Park - Columbus, Ohio Baby Photorapher

I mean really... there is no way you can look at this little guy and not smile. Try it, you can't... it's impossible. He is so squeezable and just the happiest little guy ever. I had the pleasure of photographing his mommy when she was pregnant, and him when he was a newborn. During the past year I've watched him grow through photos on facebook and just couldn't wait to get to see him again for his 1 year shoot.

He smiles constantly, and then makes the cutest little "Zoolander" face. I did not want him to leave the studio. I know I say it all the time, but I really do have the best job in the world, the best clients in the world and get to watch so many little ones grow. So humbling.

Here are a few of my favorites from this little baseball player.

Good Golly Miss Molly - Columbus, Ohio Baby Photographer

What can I even say... Miss Molly has to be my best ever cake smash! Ooh she was just the sweetest, happiest little girl and watching her go to town on this cake was just amazing. Even better is that for the first time she was able to feed herself. Mom said she would definitely make a mess, but hadn't learned how to bring her food to her mouth yet. Well after realizing what yummy goodness was on her fingers she figured out how to do that! I'm so happy I was a part of capturing this milestone for her and her family.

I wish I could take credit for the adorable decorations too. That was all mom. Oh what a wonderful shoot we had. Here are a few of my favorites!
