And then there were four... girls that is! Newborn Photographer Columbus Ohio

When mama contacted me about doing her newborn portraits for her 4th child, I was so excited! They had 3 beautiful daughters and were waiting to be surprised with the 4th baby. Well it was another girl for this family and OMG after photographing her with her 3 big sisters it became clear that these little ladies were just meant to have another baby girl in the family.

I have to say, I was a little nervous to have them all in the studio and was literally praying we'd get at least one good shot for mama of the 4 of them together. Well, not only were they the most perfect little ladies and did we get many shots of them together, but I even managed to get individual shots of the older sisters too. They came with the most amazing outfits I just had to capture a portrait of each of them.

After the sibling portion the older gals left and I got to snuggle little miss #4 for her solo shots. She slept and then woke up right at the end for some of the most adorable awake shots. She had the best expressions I was so excited to have captured!

Two Little Bundles - Columbus, Ohio Newborn Photographer

I can't express enough how truly blessed I am to have the opportunity to photograph so many precious little ones. They grow so quickly and documenting them during their first weeks is difficult sometimes, but so worth it. Most people expect photographing twins is going to be even more difficult, but I'll be honest, most of the time they are better than single newborns. They're used to being moved around since they're sharing a small space and typically are sooooo sleepy. These two were no exception. We did their entire shoot with mom and dad, and even extended family who were visiting from India, all in an hour and a half. They didn't wake to feed or need to be soothed at all. Ooh how I love it when this happens because we are able to get so many wonderful shots.

Here are a few of my favorites from their recent newborn photography session at my hilliard, ohio studio. Mom and dad came in last night for their proofing session and seeing their reaction, and the tears in their eyes was just such an wonderful experience for me.

Better late than never - Newborn photographer Columbus, Ohio

This sweet little guy was more than 4 weeks when he came to visit for his newborn photography session. Mama had to have eye surgery days after delivering and scheduling within the recommended 2 week window just wasn't possible. So he was pretty awake for most of his session, but ooh my, I could not be more happy. Just look at those big eyes staring right at me. Be still my heart!

I was so looking forward to Quades session for many reasons. I've been photographing his beautiful big sister for more than a year now and I've known mommy for decades. We grew up together in the same neighborhood and recently reconnected. It's been so amazing watching this beautifull family grow and I can't wait to continue to watch both of these little ones as they reach new milestones.

Little Thomas - Newborn baby photographer columbus ohio

Shortly after setting up this sweet guys newborn photography session his mama contacted me to reschedule because both he and she were ill and both had to be admitted to the hospital. Then when they were home poor mom and dad got the flu. I can't even imagine being first-time parents and going through so much so soon after giving birth. Thankfully both mom and baby made full recoveries and we were able to schedule his session when he was about 3 weeks old. I thought with him being about a week older than my normal age for photographing newborns he'd be awake. But this perfect little guy was amazing. He slept like a dream until the very end which I love that we got to see him with his eyes open.

Miss P and her furry big brother - newborn photographer columbus ohio

After a streak of boys in the studio last month, I was so excited to meet this precious beauty for her newborn portrait session. I couldn't wait to get out those headbands and flowers and just doll her all up! Not to mention, she had a big brother who was also coming... A furry little long haired dachshund who was just the perfect gentleman the entire time in the studio. So much excitement.

At first Miss Peyton was wide awake, I don't think she wanted to miss any of the action. Then she kept trying to feed when mama held her, so daddy took her and just so calmly and patiently rocked her to sleep. It was so heartwarming to see a days new daddy taking care of his baby girl so effortlessly.

Peyton stayed asleep for a while and we were able to get so many wonderful shots. Some of my favorites are the ones of her on mommy's wedding gown. What a special image I'm sure someday will be viewed on her own wedding day. After some props and a few blanket poses, Miss Peyton woke again. Which I actually love because she just had the most adorable expressions and those cheeks... so squeezable.

The sweetest little pea - newborn photographer columbus ohio

I first had the pleasure of meeting this family back in December before this little sweet pea was born. We did a mini maternity session in Old Hilliard. It is always so nice to meet parents while they are expecting - it makes me even more excited when the baby comes because we have already established a wonderful relationship and seeing them before and after becoming parents... there is nothing like it.

I couldn't wait to see their little girl when the came in last month for their newborn photography session. I was so shocked because I thought she would have a head full of dark hair like her beautiful mama, but boy was I wrong. This 5lb little angel had blond hair! Ooh she was just the sweetest, tiny, perfect little subject for her session.

Yesterday the family came back in for their proofing and ordering session, so I got to see Miss Elaina again - a whole 2lbs bigger and just as precious as ever. I'm so excited to design and order their beautiful album and prints so they can cherish these portraits for many years to come.

Last newborn of 2017 - Newborn baby photographer Columbus Ohio

What a pleasure it was to have this sweet, sleepy little man as my last newborn of 2017! I've known his daddy for a few years through several other commercial photography projects. During our last shoot together he told me he and his wife were expecting. I was so excited to get to work with him and his beautiful family on a more personal level and capture his precious baby boy.

This 7lb little bundle was a perfect little subject and was my 97th newborn of 2017. Here are a few of my favorites from his session.
