A Very Happy Father's Day - Columbus, Ohio Newborn Photographer

Happy Father's Day to all of the dads out there. I thought this image of a recent twin newborn session was the perfect image to share today! I absolutely love photographing twins, and being the wife of a firefighter myself, I obviously am in love with this. These precious girls spent a little time in the NICU after being born premature as so many twins are. So we had to wait to do their session and, while they were a little older, they were wonderful for their special shoot. They also happen to be Rainbow Babies, which are babies born after the loss of an infant or miscarriage so we had to do a special shot for that too.

Here are a few of my favorites!

Sisterly Love - Baby Photographer Columbus, Ohio

Sometimes when a client calls to schedule a 1 year cake smash session I just can't believe how fast the year went. I remembered this little girl's newborn session so vividly and was just so tickled to see her when she came in with her big sister to celebrate her first birthday. The birthday girl needed a little warming up, and having her big sister there to make her comfortable definitely helped. Ooh they were just simply adorable! While we did capture many of the two of them together we made sure that this little doll got to smash her cake all by herself. But don't worry, big sissy definitely got a few bites!

Best of Luck - Columbus Ohio Newborn Photographer

Today one of my wonderful newborn clients came to the studio to pick up 3 beautiful canvases and some prints. I always get excited when my products leave and head to their new homes. In this case these canvases are going to be traveling across the country to their new home. This beautiful family are moving to California in a few weeks. I do have to say I'm a little sad I won't have the opportunity to photography them again, but I am excited for their new journey. Best of luck "J" family!

Having Faith - Newborn Photographer Columbus, Ohio

For every parent, having a baby is truly a miracle. But for some, it actually is. I was so excited to meet this little 5lb angel and have the opportunity to photograph her and her beautiful parents. I had met her mama a few months prior for a studio tour. After overcoming many obstacles, she was pregnant and expecting a baby girl. We had planned on doing a maternity session as well, but she had to be put on bed rest and we did not get those done. So when she contacted me to let me know her little peanut, named Faith, had arrived I was so anxious to meet her.

This beauty slept through the entire session. She cooed, fluttered her eyes and smiled throughout. She was literally a dream and I just couldn't get over all of her hair!! What an absolute honor it was to document this very special occasion for this family. Here are just a few of my favorites of this little doll.

Awake and Adorable - Columbus ohio newborn photography

This sweet little boy came in wide awake.  We tried everything to get him to sleep, but he wasn't having it. Honestly, I didn't mind at all because he was simply adorable and would just look right up at me with those big eyes. He did seem to snooze off a few times, but he actually was asleep with his eyes open too! While it's easier to pose newborns when they're asleep, I do have to admit, it is always nice to get a few of them awake. In this case, we got a few with him asleep, or blinking haha!

And how appropriate to get ready for this holiday weekend than to honor this little boy's daddy who serves in our military. Wishing everyone a safe and happy Memorial Day weekend.

Out of the Park - Columbus, Ohio Baby Photorapher

I mean really... there is no way you can look at this little guy and not smile. Try it, you can't... it's impossible. He is so squeezable and just the happiest little guy ever. I had the pleasure of photographing his mommy when she was pregnant, and him when he was a newborn. During the past year I've watched him grow through photos on facebook and just couldn't wait to get to see him again for his 1 year shoot.

He smiles constantly, and then makes the cutest little "Zoolander" face. I did not want him to leave the studio. I know I say it all the time, but I really do have the best job in the world, the best clients in the world and get to watch so many little ones grow. So humbling.
